One must obtain certification from this board to legally perform acupuncture in the State of California.
A Diplomate of Oriental Medicine is a practitioner who is certified by the NCCAOM. It is a considerable professional achievement to earn the designation Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®). NCCAOM certification indicates to employers, patients, and peers that one has met national standards for the safe and competent practice of acupuncture and Chinese herbology as defined by the acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) profession. National board certification in Oriental medicine has been the mark of excellence in AOM since the inception of the Oriental Medicine Certification Program in 2003. Every certified NCCAOM Diplomate must abide by the NCCAOM® Code of Ethics.
This certification ensures a massage therapist has undergone the proper training to correctly practice massage therapy.
ART providers are certified to perform specific treatments in accordance with the ART methodology and techniques.

What our patients are saying…

At AcuLife, our service and reputation speak for themselves, but don’t take our word for it; listen to some of our recent patients:

So, as far as customer service goes, I’m giving Julia 5-freakin stars. I was coming in from out of town (LA) for a wedding, so I emailed her via the ‘contact us’ page on the website. Within an hour (at 10pm) she emails me directly and tells me she won’t be in town BUT does tell me the days and times she’s available for the next week. I just had to let everyone know what great service Julia gives, especially since that’s hard to come by these days .

I have become a regular client of Julia’s and can not say enough good things about her. She continues to consult me on my knee recovery and is always interested in hearing what the doctors have to say. Julia is not only a talented practitioner, but also an amazing person. I can’t say enough good things about her and whether you are looking for an acupuncturist or are considering trying it for the first time, she is the BEST!
