Mariel Gallet is certified and licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and M.S. in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She received Bachelor degrees in psychology and dance from Denison University. She is also a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT-200).
Mariel has over 3500 hours of training in Chinese medicine and acupuncture and clinical internships at Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego), UCSD Cancer Center (Encinitas), UCSD Perlman Women’s Clinic (La Jolla), and San Diego Herbal Medicine. In addition, she has volunteer medical experience with the Global Clinic in Dominican Republic, Veterans Stand Down (San Diego), and Shakti Rising (San Diego).
Mariel is devoted to empowering others to achieve balance and wellness through acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, and exercise. She is passionate about applying comprehensive, integrative, and transformative approaches to treatment while using small, simple steps that can create profound positive changes.
With backgrounds in psychology, dance, and yoga, and passions for nutrition and women’s health, she strives to help her patients achieve comprehensive wellness and interconnectedness with mind, body, and spirit. She believes that coordinating Eastern and Western medical approaches is the most effective route to optimal health.
